በአባይ ግድብ የተነሳ በሁለቱ አገሮች መካከል ያለው ፍጥጫ ከዚህ በፊት ከነበረው ሁኔታ በተለየ መልኩ ውጥረት የነገሰ ይመስላል። በተለይም የግብፁ ፕሬዘዳንት “ቅንጣት ውሃ አናስነካም!” ከማለት አልፈው ካቢኔያቸውውን ሰብስበው ሲነጋገሩ በቀጥታ በቴሌቪዥን ሲተላለፍ፤ ኢትዮጵያን ለመምታት የተለያዩ ሃሳቦች ሲያቀርቡ ከታየ በኋላ፤ የግብፅ እና የኢትዮጵያ ጉዳይ የሰሞኑ መነጋገሪያ ሆኖ ቆይቷል። በተለይም ሰሜን ሱዳን እና ግብፅ የናይል ወንዝን አስመልክቶ የሁለትዮሽ ወታደራዊ ስምምነት ስላላቸው፤ ሱዳን ለግብፅ በመወገን… መንደርደሪያ ከሰጠቻት ግብፅ ከሳምንት በፊት የገዛቻቸውን ኤፍ 16 ጄቶች ልትጠቀም ትችላለች የሚል ስጋት አለ።

Dear writer, are you from Egypt….? Your statement seems you are from their side. What do you know about Ethiopia, our current military capability……?
I want to assure that, if Egypt started any direct offense, they will be the looser. We do have many options to attack them. We are the source of Nile, at least we can poison it. We can also attack Aswan dam which costs them by far more than us.
So, unless they are provoking ‘war against Ethiopia’ just to cover their internal instability, it will not be right decisions.

I share the thoughts of Sami Egypt has internal assignment, loose of internal instability, I do not think they even think of war. In my opinion it could be to frustrate Ethiopia, this could not be a real preparation for war. they do not have stabled government to strike a war, if Egypt really do this I would do my part as an Ethiopian citizen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The writer is either from Eritrean dogs or from Egyptian side. Where is the comment of Sudanese government in this article? They are not cooperating with Egypt in this case. The question of Egypt is not losing water of Nile, but it is about losing their power balance in the region. They knew how the dam will change the history of Ethiopia and they did their best to keep Ethiopia unstable for centuries. Now the time has come and Ethiopia started to use their normal mind. Instead of civil war, Ethiopia declared war on poverty and this is headache for Egyptian government. They want to stay dominant in terms of economy and military power in the region, but which are already shrinked after the revolution. Every negative movement of Egypt will cost them a lot.
pls guys don’t waste your time instead try to concentrate to finish our dam. if Egypt take the initiative for war, we will see who is going to be a looser. enante gin were ataragebu
i don’t think they are going to do it because they know us. whatever political differences we have, we stand together for our country and we will do everything to this dam.
as we are the owner of Nile, we have a complete right to use for any purpose. unfortunately the government of Ethiopian want to use Nile together with Egypt equally but things other than this shows Egyptian headache on the development of Ethiopian. We all have equal power on the issue of Nile unless other wise Egypt will be the victim because no one can agree with her selfish agenda. All Egyptian be ware of what you want that is impossibly to use Nile alone.
Every body please come down, do not panic! Egyptians are provoking and deviating the intention of Ethiopian to pull back from building Ethiopia’s massive, Grand Renaissance Dam. Egyptians even do not know what Ethiopia’s Military power is up to. If they think of war against Ethiopia on top of their dead economy and political instability, I will be sad for the people of Egypt for they are being lead by a bunch of mad People. This is the game they are playing around the table to cover their political and economical problems to act as if their country is stable and alert.
