US to Open an Office in Ethiopia to Follow Business Affairs

7c1681b9U.S Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker announced that U.S will open an office in Ethiopia to follow business affairs. As Penny Pritzker talked with Ethiopian President Dr. Mulatu Teshome yesterday at the National Palace, she expressed her country’s interest in strengthening economic and business ties with Ethiopia.

The office which is to be opened will enable foster economic ties of the two nations and help solve problems that might occur. The U.S Secretary said that since Ethiopia is a peaceful country with lots of investment opportunities, a favorable environment is created for US investors.
She also expressed U.S investors’ interest to invest in the Water, wind and Solar energy sectors. In her visit the U.S Secretary has also led a delegation of company representatives from 21 U.S companies. The U.S Secretary and the Ethiopian President have also discussed on the issue of stretching the time frame for the tax free season given by the U.S government for African exports to the U.S.
