Shere Endeselassie’s police told ENA that a bomb blast in one of the town’s family house killed three children of the family while it heavily wounded another child from the neighborhood. The children were smashing the bomb in an effort to play with it. The town’s police chief inspector Gezaie Gebremedhein told ENA that the bomb was kept in the house illegally.
The inspector said that the place where the bomb was kept was not off the reach of children. He also urged citizens who kept illegal weapons to hand it over to authorities. The inspector told ENA that though the father of the family who kept the bomb is not in the town at the time of the accident, investigations are underway on the incident.
