The Renaissance Dam will turn Ethiopia into a regional super power: Head of the Nile Basin Studies

The head of the Nile Basin studies at Al Ahram center for political and strategic studies, Hani Raslan recently said that the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) will turn Ethiopia into an emerging regional power in the control of water and energy at the expense of Egypt and Sudan.

Raslan has also mentioned the Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn’s statement that Ethiopia is ready to face the Egyptian moves in all directions. He also writes that Sudan will be the first victims of the Ethiopian force emerging. Raslan added that “Ethiopia has developed its troops in Abyei and grabbed the neck of the Bashir regime where it doesn’t care about that Sudan be sacrificed in exchange for staying in power”
