Ministry of finance and economic development has announced today the details of the salary rise for government employees. Accordingly, low paid civil servants have got a 46% salary rise while the highly paid government employees got a 33 % salary rise. Therefore, those who were getting 420 Br, now in the new scale would get 615 Br and those who were getting 4430 Br, would get 5891 Br in the new salary rise scale.
The salary raise has also increased the minimum payment of the pensioners from 294 Br to 530 Br.
It is also indicated that special consideration has been given to the salary increment scale of Agricultural researchers, health practitioners and for those in higher educational institutions.
