Ethiopian National Team’s Midfielder, Shimeles Bekele, is Happy Joining the Sudanese Club Al Marik
Ethiopian national team’s midfielder, Shimeles Bekele, is known to have signed a two years contract with the Libyan club Al Ithad months ago for $ 200,000. But since the contract allowed him to leave the club if he wished to join another, the Sudanese team Al Marik pays the $ 60,000 to Al Ithad to acquire Shimeles.
Shimeles is happy of his Al Marik’s choice; one of which being the club’s participation in the African Champions League. For his three months stay in the Libyan club, Shimeles has got his three months’ salary and half of his contract’s money of $ 100,000.
Shimeles’ joining of the Sudanese club raises the number of Ethiopian Professional football players currently playing in Sudan to six.
