Nineteen years prison sentence to a father who raped his own daughter

He said that due to lack of awareness in the community and problem among the community in reporting the case soon, recently cases of abuse and crime is mounting.

Among the rape cases, the father who committed rape on his own twelve years old daughter is sentenced to nineteen years in prison. “For various crimes committed on women and children, prison sentence that ranges from six to nineteen years and a fine is imposed” Sergeant Fitsum said.
He added that in 2006 E.C’s nine months time alone more than two hundred crimes are committed in the sub city.
