Access capital has compiled a report which contains a quarterly update of price levels for a wide range of goods and services in Addis Ababa. Below you will find a short list of price point for selected goods or services.

In the full report, a total of 184 prices have been compiled under nine broad categories: consumer goods; services; construction and building materials; machinery and vehicle rentals; fuel, water & energy prices; freight charges; urban land lease prices; residential houses sale & rent prices; and wages & salaries.

Here is a list of price point for few goods or services. Based on the report a driver of excavator(grader) earns 6,000 birr while a medical doctor who works for the government earns 3,425. The report also indicates that an owner of a dozer can take home more than 8 Million birr per year by renting a dozer for 2,800 Birr per hour for 8 hours a day.
