As the Reporter newspaper writes the Prime Minister office has ordered the privatization and public enterprise supervising agency to remove Ghion hotel from the list of public enterprises ready to be sold.
The Hotel has been on the bid many times but agreement couldn’t be reached between the prospective buyers and the agency. Many prospective buyers have been complaining about the hotel’s expensive price tag.
This four stars hotel which was founded in 1950 E.C rests on 123, 000 meter squares of land with 191 rooms, 7 halls, a swimming pool and various restaurants. Following the decision, it is said that the government has planned to refurbish the hotel to become a five star hotel.
