It has been three months since EthioTelecom started its 1.5 billion dollars expansion project to alleviate telephone service problems of Addis Abeba and other parts of the country.
EthioTelecom said that in the past three months it has achieved in giving network service coverage to places where there was not. Besides to this, it is announced that power disruption and damage to network infrastructures due to construction works were having their own negative impact on the expansion project.
The expansion project is designed to work on primarily Addis’s network infrastructure and aims to completely change the network facilities of places in Addis from Asco to Hana Mariam.
It is said that EthioTelecom is striving to solve the problem till June 2014.
