Ethiopian Teenage girl has 6 pound tumor removed from neck

ethiogirlNEW YORK (WABC) — A 13-year-old girl from Ethiopia is showing off her amazing results after having a 6 pound tumor removed from her neck on 9/11.

Aster Degano, 13, lives in a grass hut without electricity or running water. She was unable to stay in school because she was ostracized by the villagers. She was living without hope until she was discovered by an American doctor on a medical mission.

Thanks to the Baby Face Foundation, Aster was brought to NYC after 3 years of red tape, for a lifesaving surgery by a group of physicians from Lenox Hill Hospital and Cohen Children’s Medical Center.

Watch Eyewitness News tonight as Stacey Sager will have more on this amazing story.
