ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA. (WUSA9/ Sept. 8) — A man, Dawit Seyoum, 29, has been charged in the murder of a 64-year-old woman in Alexandria on Sunday, police said.
Carolyn Cross of Alexandria, was found dead in the 4800 block of Kenmore Avenue at around 8 a.m. Sunday, police said. Mrs. Cross was the DC Department of Correction’s Deputy Director.
According to Alexandria Police, the murder took place in an apartment building in the 4800 block of Kenmore Avenue. They have charged a suspect, 29-year-old Dawit Seyoum, with the murder. It remains under investigation.
