Ethiopian Maid ends life at Saudi employer’s house

b2e3f627An Ethiopian housemaid banged the door and locked herself up in the bedroom at her employer’s house in Saudi Arabia, prompting the family to call the police after she refused to open the door. When police smashed the door, they found her hanging.

Police said they sent the body to the coroner to specify the exact cause of death, adding that it was evident the maid had committed a suicide.

Sabq newspaper said the police also interrogated the family in the eastern province of Qateef to determine the motives for the maid’s suicide.
