ADDIS ABABA, Oct 25 (BERNAMA-NNN-ERTA) — Flag carrier Ethiopian Airlines has announced it will launch flights to Singapore on Dec 3 with three flights a week using the airline’s Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
The latest flights will serve the growing traffic between Africa and Singapore and provide connectivity to passengers to points in Australia/Asia and Africa.
Ethiopian Airlines chief executive officer Tewolde Gebremariam said: “Our flights to Singapore will greatly contribute to the strengthening of trade, investment and tourism ties between a booming Africa and Singapore.”
Star Alliance member Ethiopian Airlines will be the first East African carrier to start services to Singapore, which will become the airline’s 78th international destination.
This year Ethiopian has received various awards including the Passenger Choice Award as “Best Airline in Africa” and the SKYTRAX Award for “Best Staff Service in Africa”.
