Ethiopia and Somalia Discuss Intensifying the Fight Against Alshabaab

The Somali prime minister Abdiwali Sheikh Ahmed met with the Ethiopian premier Haile Mariam Deselign in Addis Ababa.

The two leaders discussed how the fight against Alshabaab should be intensified. They also discussed how Ethiopia can be able to give more support to the government of Somalia. After their meeting, Prime Minister Abdiwali spoke to reporters in Addis Ababa and told them that he and Prime Minister Haile Mariam discussed about the ties of the two countries.
Ethiopian troops are inside Somalia as part of AMISOM and have fought Alshabaab militias many times.
