Egypt is lobbying for international financial organizations not to give aid and loan to Ethiopia: Ethiopian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Dina Mufti In his recent press conference to journalists on Friday January 17, 2014 Ethiopian foreign ministry spokesman, Dina Mufti told reporters that Ethiopian government has evidence of Egyptian government’s lobbying effort for the international financial organizations not to give aid and loan for Ethiopia.
Especially after the third round of talks between Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt water ministers at Khartoum ends in stalemate, Dina Mufti said that Egypt has engaged in some negative practices. Egyptian media has started airing false claims that Ethiopia hasn’t been cooperative and recently Egypt has started lobbying for financial organizations like IMF and World Bank not to give aid and loan to Ethiopia: Dina Mufti said.
The spokesman denounced this effort of the Egyptian government.
