As EthioChannel newspaper writes based on information from ministry of health, chat chewing has become the cause for more than 34% of the mental illness cases in the country.
The newspaper’s report mentioned that the country doesn’t have any policy on the issue. It is also indicated that more than 12% of the country’s population is smoker. As the data from Ethiopian food, medicine and healthcare administration pointed out there are more than ten million smokers in the country.
