Due to a road construction plan in the Nifas silk lafto sub city that stretches from Lebu through Tulu Dimtu to Adama more than 60 residences and business buildings are said to be demolished; to which the owners of the buildings have expressed their graver objections.
The owners of the buildings complained that it was only 10 years ago, in 2004/5 that they had received the place from the city’s administration appropriate office in keeping with the locations development plan to build; and they had erected from one to four storey buildings.
“But now we are told that since a road passes through the area your buildings has to be demolished; which is unfair” they said. They have also blamed administrators at the sub city for failing to tell their plight to the Road Authority officials.
“The road can pass through another place…” they said and are hoping that the administrators would listen to their concern.
