Bank Security guard shoots himself at Bole Street

His name was Bersufikade Begashaw Teshome, 24 and he has been the security guard for the Hibret Bank for only about a month. Today at 12 P.M, on the Bole Street, in front of the Millinium hall he commits suicide with a weapon given to him for his security task.

Eyewitnesses of the suicide describe the situation where Bersufikade shot 3 times up his chin where the first two bullets miss him and the last one destroys his skull. Bersufikade’s co-workers said that he has been too sad and agitated when he arrived at work in the morning.

They also said him of saying continuously “Jesus doesn’t love me”

A young man commits suicide – was complaining of life hardship

Befikadu Begashaw is 24. Though he came from Amhara region, he currently lives in Addis Ababa. He fired four times and killed himself with the fifth shoot. Besufekad works at Hiberet Bank, Bole branch.

When he came in today for his afternoon shift, he took the gun from his colleague and run away murmuring something I wasn’t able to hear shooting four times towards the sky. Then he put the gun tip below his chin and pulled the trigger.

The body is now lying on the street covered with a blue piece of cloth. He blew up his head and body parts are scattered on the area. According to his colleagues, Besufekad works for Agar security agency and came to Hiberet back two months ago. According the latest information, he was heard saying he is tired of life hardship. However police in the area say he had a fight with his family.

I still couldn’t confirm how they go the information. Police car just took the body from Bole Street.
