Bageresh Company of the Jalerena plc has started exporting roasted coffee beans branded as ‘Terara’, Addis Guday the Amharic Weekly Magazine announces. The family business that spawned for about 56 years has been engaged in exporting coffee bean abroad without any further processing for years.
The modern coffee roasting facility that the company inaugurates last week has the capacity of roasting 65 tons of coffee in a month’s time. The company is preparing to export its roasted coffee product to the Middle East, Africa, Europe and America.
It is also noted that exporting roasted coffee boosts income tenfold that exporting raw coffee beans. The international coffee business is increasingly been interested to have the same kind of coffee from the farm to the coffee table.
