A Man who Brutally Killed the Mother of his Two Children Found Guilty

A court in Addis declared a man who killed the mother of his two children a year ago guilty. Wondwossen Yilma and the victim Firehiwot Tadesse have two children from their marriage that they have ended in divorce. On October 1, 2012 Ato Wondwossen after following her with his vehicle shoot 10 bullets on Firehiwot at an Addis neighborhood named Olompia.

When Firehiwot died of the injury her mother and her female friend who were inside the car at the carnage have survived. Though Wondwossen tried hard to convince the court claiming a mental instability after the victim denied him of visiting the children, the prosecutor’s witness’ testimony and medical evidences presented to the court made the court to declare the defendant Ato Wondwossen guilty.

The court has made an appointment for April 3, 2014 to pass its verdict.
