It was on the evening of February 7, 2014; a minibus having 12 passengers is moving fast on the Addis Adama road. Regebe Mebrehatu is one of the passengers. It was only a week ago that her husband is passed away. But she heard the death of another relative in Addis and she has to go there from Adama and now returning back with this minibus at 7 P.M in the evening.
The minibus with its frightening speed fast past towns like Dukem, Bishoftu and Mojo. But immediately after it passes Mojo, the minibus came face to face with a huge truck. After it tried to pass the truck with full speed it bumped into the rear side of the truck and a catastrophic crash happens that immediately kills 9 of the passengers.
One passenger who was tossed of the window on impact survived the crash while two survived with major physical injuries. The bodies of the seven victims of the crash were so much damaged on the crash that authorities couldn’t be able to identity their identity so they have to be buried together.
