Water unavailability Makes it Hard to Control Blaze in school fire

Fire broke out today in the Ada Robe kebele of the Bale Robe zone of the Oromia region. The reason for the fire was the problem on the electric lines that goes from the main transmission grid to the United International Academy – an educational institution at the Kebele.

As Sergeant Taba Bedada told DireTube News today, though there was no one injured by the fire five classrooms are damaged. The fire was finally controlled by an hour long effort of the surrounding community.

The unavailability of water at the location has greatly hampered the effort to control the blaze and people have even used soil to control the fire.
