The Russian Railway Company is showing its interest in the railway construction projects of Ethiopia. On Wednesday, the Russian company’s delegation has discussed the issue with the Ethiopian government official; the Reporter, the English weekly newspaper writes.
CREC, the Chinese firm, has started construction of the railway line in Ethiopian starting from September 2010 with the loan from the Chinese ExIm bank that it acquired for the project.
The 5 000 Km railway line that was planned to be constructed by the
Ethiopian government in the following years stretches from the capital Addis in all the directions with the one that heads to Djibouti being a double-track.
