Deutsche Welle announced that the formation of a free journalists association which can help enhance the quality of the profession is vital for both the profession and the safety of the journalists.
Yesterday, on June 23, 2014, Ethiopian journalists’ forum had organized a discussion forum in Addis on the issue of press freedom and the safety of journalists and development. On the event many journalists had raised the necessity of the formation of a free journalist’s organization that can help enhance the profession as a whole and the safety and integrity of the professionals too.
The other aspect which was raised at the event is the lessening of Ethiopian press output that works on the political issues.
