Pastor Kim Sam-hwan of the Myungsung Presbyterian Church was conferred a medal of appreciation by the Ethiopian government for his contributions to the development of Ethiopian medical services.
Kim pushed ahead with a plan to construct a medical center in Ethiopia, where medical services are very limited. He built the Myungsung Christian Medical Center in Addis Ababa in 2004.
“We would like to thank Pastor Kim for providing state-of-the-art medical services to those in Ethiopia,” said Abadula Gemeda Dago, speaker of the House of Peoples’ Representatives of Ethiopia.
