Italy to Establish Job Creating Agencies in Ethiopia, Mozambique

3556aff2Italy is planning to open job creating agencies in Ethiopia and Mozambique in collaboration with the European Union.

While holding talks with his counterpart Ambassador Birhane G/Kirstos, Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Lapo Pistelli said the agency would create jobs for youth.

Pistelli, who recalled the dangers many African illegal migrants have been exposed to, added that the main cause of the migration are economic even if political problems also exist.

The agency to be established in Ethiopia will create projects which create jobs to Africans who plan to migrate, he said. The agency would be formed by coordinating huge companies in Europe.

Ambassador Birhane G/Kirstos on his part said his government will give all the necessary support for the agency to be established.

Ethiopia would work in close collaboration with EU and the international community to prevent illegal migration, he added.
