The first blended fertilizer factory built in Tulu Bolo with a capital of 31.2 million Birr was inaugurated on 1 June 2014.
The factory has the capacity to produce 100 metric tons of fertilizer per year.
The fertilizer is blended from more than 10 elements, unlike DAP and UREA, which have limited ingredients, that the country had been importing, aforetime.
Ethiopian Ministry of Agriculture disclosed that the construction of three fertilizer plants in Tigray, Amhara and Southern Peoples Regional States is underway.
