The civil service day is being celebrated today, June 23, 2014, in Addis. The ceremony is attended by Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and the federal and regional higher officials where discussions were held on the historical advance of the civil service and the developmental states role on the civil service.
On the ceremony the Premier announced a salary increment for government employees starting from July, 2014. Besides to this, discussions are also held on a study presented on the issue of on the meaning and role of good governance.
