Debremarikos’ Roads will have Electric Cars Soon
Preparatory measures are underway in the Eastern Gojjam zone of the Amhara region to import electric cars from unided states as part of the zone’s plan to ensure sustainable green economy.
A charging site for the electric cars is also being built at the Zone’s capital, Debremarikos,with a 2 million birr capital. The charging site’s construction that has been started at the middle of 2005 E.C. will be expected to be finalized at the middle of 2006 E.C.
After the construction of the charging site is finalized, It is announced that, Ethiopian Environmental Protection Authority (APA) will import three wheel electric cars to the town to give service.
