ECX’s CEO Resigns

Ethiopian Commodity Exchange’s CEO, Anteneh Assefa has submitted a letter of resignation to the ECX’s board of directors and it is announced that the board has accepted the request, as the Reporter newspaper writes.

Sources said that Anteneh’s reason for the resignation being a heart related health problem and that he has had a minor operation Ethiopia. Therefore, as sources said, it is after going to the USA for his medical reason and been told to remain there that he is obliged to send letter of resignation to ECX’s board of directors.

Anteneh who went to USA with his family hasn’t been on his duty for about two months when he was following his medical case. Anteneh has been working as CEO of ECX after the founder and former CEO of ECX Dr Eleni Gebremedehin resigns.
