Dire Dawa is under threat of a plague One of Ethiopia’s major eastern cities, Dire Dawa, is under a threat of a plague. This month alone, 2000 patients of this a-common-cold-kind-of-disease are enrolled at different hospitals and clinics of the city.
To clearly identify this new illness, samples are sent to the Addis Ababa’s Pasteur institute. Though there are some sources who claimed the existence of some patients who died of this illness, Health officials of the city states that it is too early to speculate any plague threat before getting the laboratory’s result.
