American superbowl winners make fun of the loser team at the expense of Ethiopian kids

Today was American football championship game day. The Seattle Seahawks defeated Denver broncos to become 2014 superbowl champions.

For Ethiopians, the most interesting thing happen before and after the game.

Since both team anticipate of winning the game before the game they made t-shirts and caps with the championship label and title.

But at the end of the game, there is going to be one winner. And the supporters of the champions wear their pre-made shirts/caps and enjoy the celebration while t-shirts made for the losing team will not be used.

So here is when the insult to Ethiopian kids start. On twitter, you will find hundreds of twits that basically says Ethiopian kids are going to enjoy the losing team t-shirts. The most popular picture for “Ethiopia” on Twitter is the above picture which is wrong in may ways. This is not the first time I read this. When ever championship games in basketball, baseball or any other major sport end, Ethiopian kids are used to make fun of the losing team.
