Addis Ababa City administration is to transfer 20,000 condominium houses of 20/80 scheme this month to those formerly registered and to be winners in a lottery system, said mayor Driba Kuma.
According to the mayor the houses to be transferred are the completed ones out of the planned 95 houses to be built in 10 different sites of Addis Ababa in the 20/80 scheme for low income citizens.
It has also been decided to transfer the other 20,000 condos until August.
The plan has been set to complete the construction of 40,000 and transferring them this month. But as the sewerage system of the houses has not been finished, it requires postponing the transfer of the other 20 thousand condos to August out of the planned for this month, he said.
The other 50,000 condos to be built next will be transferred after completing the infrastructure as has been do for these ones, he added.
