14 Ethiopians Arrested in Kenya on their way to South Africa

The police intercepted the fifteen people after a tip off from a member of the public that indicated that the vehicle had suspicious people.

Murang’a South OCPD Samuel Koskei said the middle-aged youths had national identification cards from Ethiopia and were destined to Nairobi before proceeding to South Africa.

Koskei said the police are investigating the matter and that the aliens will be arraigned in court to face charges of being in the country illegally.

The OCPD said the police patrols along the road during the festive season since the route has become a preferred escape route for aliens.
