EthioTelecom :Power Cut is Behind Network Failure

EthioTelecom said that 80% of its network problem is cause by an incessant power cuts. As EthioTelecom’s spokesman told reporters, power cuts and damage to the optical fiber network of the EthioTelecom is the main problems that are creating havoc on the network. It is also noted that the number of mobile subscribers have jumped to 27 million recently though those who are getting the service is only just 20 million.

Ethiotelecom has 4.5 million internet subscribers and 748,000 landline telephone subscribers.

EthioTelecom has gathered 7 billion in revenue in the past six months time.
