In his recent press conference on Friday, January 19, 2014 Ethiopian Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Dina Mufti told reporters that there is no land given to Sudan. Concerning claims that ‘for her supportive role to the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam project a land is given to Sudan’, Dina Mufti said that “let alone giving land to Sudan even discussion on the issue hasn’t been yet finalized”.
He also said that a joint commission of the two countries that has been working on the border demarcation case for the past decade is now engaged to solve the disputed border problems between the two countries.
