KUWAIT CITY, Oct 5: A Kuwaiti woman in her 30s sustained injuries on her neck, face and body when her newly employed Ethiopian housemaid tried to strangle her to death inside her residence in Riqqa area, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The victim explained to securitymen that the suspect started getting annoyed when she was given tasks, and refused to carry them out without giving any reasons. However, the family decided to give her time to be acquainted with the house but it did not work out. When the suspect demanded to be returned back to the domestic employees agency, the victim obliged.
While she was driving her vehicle on her way to the agency with her housemaid, the latter tried to strangle her neck from the back seat. When the vehicle fell into a culvert and the suspect’s hands loosened from her neck, she quickly stepped out of the vehicle to seek help from the police. When securitymen received the distress call of the victim, they rushed to the location to discover the suspect had fled from the location.
After searching the area, securitymen managed to find and arrest her. She was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against her.
