A man named Zemenu Keber Temesegen whom with an accomplice rapped an American woman on December 2, 2013 is sentenced to seven years in prison by a court in Bahir Dar on January 3, 2014.
The victim’s family had attended the court hearing but was not happy by the seven year sentence.
The offender who has been working as an interpreter had committed the rape at 6 P.M in the evening of December 2, 2013 at Kebele 04 of Bahir Dar town with a fleeing accomplice. The victim has been found free of HIV or any kind of communicable disease.
