Ethiopian husbands rated third on domestic violence index

cdab2abcAccording to a study conducted on various reports of the United Nations’ institutions, Ethiopian husbands are rated third from the continent on the issue of domestic violence committed on their wives.

As Addis Admass newspaper writes quoting the study, more than half a million Ethiopian husbands are found to consider beating a wife ‘a norm’. The study has also indicated that some wives too as showing some sort of acceptance to this sort of domestic violence. The study puts Ugandan and Sierra Leonean husbands in the first and second rank on the case of domestic violence committed towards wives.
