Some 30 business persons here Monday pledged over seven million Birr assistance for the rehabilitation of Ethiopians repatriated from Saudi Arabia. The business persons decided to provide the assistance after discussing with Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Tedros Adhanom.
They expressed readiness to provide the necessary support to help the government in the efforts to rehabilitate all returnees. The business persons on the occasion established a committee to raise funds to enhance the rehabilitation process.
Dr Tedros expressed gratitude for the support the business persons pledged to provide. Some 30,000 Ethiopian nationals were repatriated within a week from Saudi Arabia, he said.
