A Youth Launches a Book Collection Campaign to Donate Books for Prisons

Linda Debebe is a nurse by profession, but every year starting from 2004 E.C (2011/12) Linda has been launching a book collection campaign to donate books for prisons. In 2004 E.C she had organized a literary event at the National theatre where to attend the event one has to contribute a book for donation.

This way she collected about 3000 books where she donated to the Kaliti prison library. Last year, too, she had sent text books to a primary school in Gamogofa by fund raising from the area itself, her own and others contribution. This year she has launched a month long book collection campaign to donate books to the Kilinto prison.

To this end, Linda announced that anyone who wants to contribute books to be donated to the prison can give it to the following locations: Wabi Shebele hotel reception, Piassa Abdi Book Shop in front of Enat building, Arat Kilo Mega Book’s Head Office and at Jafar Book Shop behind National Theatre.
